7 more days of seed-scattering to go!
Can you see it? In just a little more than a week, you'll get to sit back, relax, and watch your garden grow!
Seed of Inspiration
Each Friday, we'll bring you a short film by some seedy women. Plant this as a seed of within to sustain your energy for the march we have yet ahead...
As many of you may have already read in the news, last night the United States struck Syria with dozens of missiles in retaliation for its recent use of chemical weapons on its civilians. You can read more about this in the New York times by clicking here.
The grief and pain seem bottomless, but I share with you this morning the story of one shereo who, nevertheless, is persisting.
Seed of Action
I have scoured the internet tonight for ways to help Syria. It isn't the first time. It is so easy to feel powerless. We are not. Do not be paralized by your grief. If Dr. Farida can persist, so can you. You can scatter one seed, you can do one thing today that will bring a small bit of relief to someone living with the pain of this war.
Instead of giving you my own list of seeds to scatter, I'm sharing an even better list than I could compile on my own, titled "15 Ways You Can Help Syrian Refugees NOW" compiled by Meghan Werft for Global Citizen, "a social action platform for a global generation that wants to solve the world’s biggest challenges." This site is a seed-scatterer's dream come true. So please follow the link and pick one or more seeds to scatter.
I'm planning on going on a social media haitus for the season of Eastertide, which is from Easter Sunday (April 16th) until Pentecost Sunday (June 4th), so I'll only be checking our social media accounts on Sunday, but no worries, S2S will be back!
Share S2S by email or by social media with the links below. After our march, I intend to maintain a monthly/weekly blog (haven't decided yet), with another march during the season of Advent, so we still need new scatterers to join us! Thanks for casting a seed back my way by sharing S2S!
Show us your seeds! Share with us images and stories of you scattering seeds by emailing me at email@example.com, posting on our Facebook page, or sending us a tweet @seedstoscatter! If you post as one of your seeds, tag it with #seedstoscatter, and if you donate as part of your march, mark it with Seeds to Scatter! I am so appreciative!
And above all, scatter with love!
